The downloadable Floppy & Hard Disk Image Pack contains 16 floppy disk images (ADF files) and 2 hard disk images (HDF files), which make it possible to boot and set up any Classic Amiga model (including the Amiga 1000, 3000 and 4000T).

Included ADF files (follow the links for a more detailed description and list of recent improvements):

  • Workbench 3.1 Floppy Disk Set (6 images, requires 3.0 or higher ROM)
  • Workbench 2.1 Floppy Disk Set (5 images, requires 2.04 or higher ROM)
  • Workbench 1.3 Floppy Disk Set (2 images, requires 1.2 or higher ROM)
  • Kickstart 1.3 Floppy Disk (required to boot Amiga 1000 systems)
  • Superkickstart 1.3+2.04 Floppy Disk (required to boot early Amiga 3000 systems)
  • Relokick 1.4a Floppy Disk (to downgrade newer systems to 1.3 in order to run some older software)

An additional copy of the above files, renamed to '8.3' (short) file names, is included in the Disk Image Pack, for use with devices like some floppy drive emulators that do not support 'long' file names.

Included HDF files:

The hard disk images are the result of installing from the corresponding floppy disk set, and are ready for imaging to CF cards or similar devices.

Important: the downloadable Floppy & Hard Disk Image Pack does not contain physical media. An Amiga computer or dedicated PC hardware are required to write the images to Amiga floppy disks or other media. The floppy disk image files are also suitable for use in floppy drive emulators (Cortex, DTX200, EMUFFD, Gotek, HxC, Mark II, etc.), which can be used to replace an Amiga floppy disk drive.

Summer Holidays:We're taking a few days off. Orders can still be placed and will be shipped (albeit a little slower), but there will be no support until September.Shipping Restrictions:There are currently shipping restrictions imposed due to theSARS-CoV-2 pandemic which may lead to delays of shipmentsoutside of Europe.

Kickstart 1.3 (rev. 34.005)

is required to runWorkbench 1.3.This ROM is available for Amiga 500, 600 and 2000. (Amiga 600 note:You cannot boot from the internal IDE interface with Kickstart 1.3.)

Kickstart 2.05 (rev. 37.350)

is required to run Workbench 2.0x and2.1.If you own an Amiga 600 with Kickstart 2.x and a revision below 37.300,you need to upgrade in order to use the internal IDE controller (there is noscsi.device in revisions below 37.300, so there's no way to access the HDD).
Kickstart 2.05 is only available for Amiga 500, 600 and 2000.

Kickstart 3.1 (rev. 40.xx)

is required to runWorkbench 3.1,3.5 and3.9. The Amiga 1200 and Amiga 4000models produced by Commodore have Kickstart 3.0, which is not sufficient to runthe latest versions of the 68k Amiga OS.
Kickstart 3.1 is available for these Amiga models:
  • Amiga 500/600/2000[/CDTV*] (one chip)
  • Amiga 1200 (two chips)
  • Amiga 3000(T) (two chips)
  • Amiga 4000 (two chips)
  • Amiga 4000T (two chips)
  • CD32 (one chip)
Please note that every model needs its own version of the Kickstart ROM(s).Only the types summed up in one line are interchangeable.
* The Kickstart ROM for Amiga 500/600/2000 can also be usedin the CDTV, but an updated version of the CDTV's Boot ROMs is required!.

Kickstart 3.X (rev. 45.xx)

as used in Amiga Forever, builds on the original Kickstart 3.1 ROMcomponents and features the following improvements:
  • Patches originally released under the ESCOM and Gateway Amiga ownership - no SetPatch or reboot required
  • scsi.device and exec.library updates by Alexander Benedictov, Chris Hodges, Heinz Wrobel and Toni Wilen
  • expansion.library fixes by Jeff Weeks
  • FastFileSystem fixes by Etienne Vogt
  • mathieeesingbas.library fixes by Harry 'Piru' Sintonen
The scsi.device updates included in the 3.X ROM make it possible to boot from disks larger than 4 GB.Additional elements, such as FastFileSystem 45.9 and Installer 44.10, are included in theClassic Support Workbench 3.1 distribution, and complement the ROM-based enhancements.
Please note: In order to make room for the enhancements, the 3.X ROMs employ the same techniqueused by Commodore for the 4000T ROMs, i.e. ROM space was freed by moving workbench.library outof the ROM. This means that a Libs/workbench.library file must be present on the boot disk.(Cloanto's Classic Support Workbench 3.1and Amiga OS 3.9 already include therequired workbench.library
